We use soy wax made from soybeans, because it has a better performance, and burns much cleaner than paraffin wax. All of our containers are equipped with natural cotton wicks, that are designed specifically for Soy Wax, and it supports the performance of the candle. Our Wicks do not contain any chemicals.
Throughout the development of our Candles, we have used significant amounts of time testing our candles for both the right scents, as well as the performance of the Wicks, and subsequently the performance of the candle, such as the burn time.
Never leave a candle unattended.
Keep open flames away from draughts.
Burn candles out of reach of children and pets.
Never burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
This happens when a candle isn't lit for long enough that the wax melts all the way to the side of the Candle container.
Once this happens the candle will tend to remember this “Tunnel” on subsequent burns.
See the picture for how it should look to avoid tunneling.
Never leave a candle unattended. Keep Candles out of reach of children, and pets (particularly dog tails).
Always leave at least a 10cm gap between other burning candles (because of the heat between the burning candles). Do not burn a candle on, or near anything that can catch fire.
Only burn candles on a level heat resistant surface.
Trim your wick between each of the burns, and keep it 5 mm above the surface of the wax. You can use a wick trimmer, or a sharp scissor.
Sometimes wicks develop “mushrooms”, and it is a perfectly normal behaviour for a wick to do so. When it occurs, just trim it off, and the candle will burn as before. It is just going to light up easier without the “mushroom” on the top.
Since these Soy Wax Candles do not contain additives, the surface wax after your first burn may appear rough, frosted, or slightly lumpy once it hardens.
This is typical of all natural soy wax candles, and is purely cosmetic. It is not a product flaw, and will not affect the scent or performance of your Candle!
